My name is Kenzie, and no, that is not short for McKenzie :).
A few things about me: I live in Austin, though Ohio is home. I’m left-handed at some things and right-handed at others. Apparently I have the most rare personality combination- INFJ. I have a few weird phobias that no one understands. I won’t reject a cup of coffee if you offer me one. I play guitar, but haven’t learned a new chord since 9th grade probably. I’m the baby of 3 and the aunt to a beautiful niece and two nephews. If you ask me, heaven will smell like OxiClean laundry detergent and coffee beans. And finally (most importantly), I am a believer in Jesus Christ.
Anchored seemed fitting for the name of my blog for good reason. When I think of this word I think of an immovable object, and the truth is, everything besides Christ is wavering. I thank God that He remains faithful even when I am faithless. I thank God that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and that His Word remains. I pray that in the words you read on this blog, you are pointed to the only true Word (John 1:1). I pray that you are stunned by the grace that is seen in the wonderful (and only) Savior. I’d love for you all to see how intimate God’s love is for you and how far He went to make a way for you in that while you were still a sinner, He sent Christ to die for you on the cross. The goal of this blog is for you to taste and see Jesus more, whether that is for the first time, or the 500th time. His grace does not run out.
Please hear me: The things I post probably won’t be pretty and they aren’t meant to be “preached” at you. I’m not perfect. I still stumble and sin. I struggle still and wrestle hard as you will probably see in my posts, but one thing I know is that I am set free in Christ. It is Jesus who was bound and nailed so that I wouldn’t have to be. It is Jesus who was cast out so that I could approach the Father. It is Jesus who knew no sin, yet took upon my sin. It is Jesus who takes what is broken and redeems. And it is Jesus who resurrected from the dead so that I may truly live. May God be given the glory through every word you stumble upon and may you be encouraged. Love you all!
